Cranberry Pie

Step 1:
2 Cups raw Cranberries

Step 2:
½ Cup sugar
½ Cup pecans or walnuts - chopped

Step 3:
1 Cup sugar
¾ cup melted salted butter
1 cup flour
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs - beaten

Preheat oven to 325° F

Heavily grease a 10” pie pan.

  1. Wash and drain the Cranberries and spread out evenly in the pie pan.
  2. Sprinkle Sugar and Walnuts over the Cranberries.
  3. Mix the last five (5) ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour mixture over the stuff that is already in the pie pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean or if it starts looking too brown.

This is one of my favorite pies. Tart, not too sweet. Excellent photos, Samuel!
